In the Fall of 2011, the Center unveiled its new Health Informatics Lab designed to:

• Let students work with OpenEHR and become familiar with template design
• Work with large data sets to data-mine for trends (BIG DATA)
• Export data sets between different EMRs as well as use HIE tools
• Work in small groups to create Consumer Apps for Health (MOBILE)
